Ponca, Arkansas. Photographs from the Bluff above the Buffalo River, October, 2009. Jared Wilson & Tex Jernigan, borrowing White LightningTM from Robert Heishman who couldn't make it. The octogon near the bottom is white lightning, in the flesh. We hiked two miles in through dense woods where we met up with Jared's brother, Dustin, whose 'coal miner' portrait is also near the bottom.

The caves make great campsites in the winter, because the heat from the fire radiates all around. The next photographs are somewhat lucky, we didn't really know what we were going to do with White LightningTM, but after throwing a few rocks off the bluff, and seeing the particulate that was also caught by the lighting kit, we shot several "Andy Golds" worthy photographs.
